time to shape up

ok i have failed myself again..i told myself i would be in shape by june..june is almost here and instead of losing weight--i gained 2 more pounds omfg. its so hard to lose weight--i havent been smoking for like almost a week--well almost i sort of cheated half way into the week--i gave in and smoked one. eh. didnt say i am going to quit, ive been cutting back. and trust me it may seem like a baby step to most, its a big step for me. considering i would freak out--when i ran out of cigarettes. I just want to live my life right, i want a healthy life. i am completely miserable being frumpy. i miss my old self. the confident me. hopefully i can lose weight within about 3 weeks. I plan to hit the gym for about 2 hours a day--starting tuesday--i was going to start monday--but its memorial day, the gym might be closed we will see..I have 18 lbs to lose....

save a life. adopt a shelter dog.

Gosh, I was just looking at some shelter sites. There are alot of dogs put to sleep every single day.

It just irks me that people surrender their dogs. There are people who buy dogs as gifts as a spare of the moment thing and once they realize having a dog is alot of work--they surrender their dogs. If you don't have the financial means of taking care of a dog, don't even bother buying one.

For the days I have worked at the pet hospital, Ive seen many unbelievable things that I couldnt even begin to explain. People arent willing to put down the money, to save/cure their pets. That gets under my skin. Then why bother having a pet?!??! I love my dog like he is my child, if he needed something and I didnt have the financial means of caring for him, gosh darn it--i would find a way. I rather have him in my life then without. Surrendering a dog or euthanizing them is an easy way out for owners. If some circumstances prevent you from caring for your dog, Please by all means try to find someone who will. Just don't discard them--and leave them at a shelter.

They depend on us to survive--if they cannot depend on us, who can they depend on.

Update

I thought my summer classes would be a breeze. Well that isn't the case, I enrolled for Pre-Calculus and Physics and I am kind of nervous. Since I have to take it while I am enrolled for Pre-Pharm I decided to get it out of the way. It has been awhile since I have been enrolled in any math class. Im getting my Bachelors in Art so math-- wasnt must of a prerequisite for most of my classes.

If I can do it all over again I would of gotten my Bachelors in Science. I got a B in my Pharmacy Calculations class. After 2 more Pharmacy Tech classes I can sit in for the Pharmacy Tech. Certification test. I really enjoy Pharmacy. I want a career in which I can help people and I think this is the right career for me. If only I knew this sooner.....
